History

The Atlanta Chinese Christian Church began in the late '60s as a Bible Study Group at Georgia Tech. In 1977, the group was registered as the Atlanta Christian Fellowship (ACF). By God's grace and through the hard work of many Christians, the Church grew during the last twenty some years.

In recent years, many more Chinese immigrated to Atlanta. In particular, the Alpharetta and Duluth areas became the new gathering points for the Chinese. In order to preach the gospel to these new immigrants, ACCC established many Fellowship cell groups. In 1989, the first cell group was formed and it rapidly subdivided grew into 9 cell groups and are named after the 9 fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. In March 1998, the Church formed the Church Planting Committee and soon the project began.

Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North (ACCCN) was established to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide services to the Chinese population in the North of Atlanta. At the same time it helped to relieve the overcrowding of our parent church. In August of 1999, we began a series of meetings to share the vision and needs and to begin prayerful planning for the Church. On September 3, 2000, the new Church ACCCN was born, using a rented school building. During the following year, we purchased a 6 acre lot with plans to build a New Church starting in late 2003.
