Church Bible Reading Plan

Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North Church promotes an all-church Bible reading plan

Purpose: Rooted in the Bible, moving toward maturity. The entire church is promoting a ministry to read the Bible completely within two years.

Bible Reading Plan Guidelines:
1. The church will collectively develop a Bible reading plan, to be carried out in eight stages over two years. Each stage will last thirteen weeks and will begin in January, April, July, and October.
2. After a prayer led by the pastor and the signing of the "Scripture Reading Covenant," receive a Bible reading plan from the church or the group leader.
3. Participate in the Bible reading group. The entire church will be divided into groups according to fellowships. The fellowship advisors will serve as the leaders of each group. Those who have not yet joined a fellowship will have the Adult Education deacon as their group leader. Participants must find a same-sex Bible reading and prayer partner within their group for mutual prayer, encouragement, and accountability. Each group should hold regular sharing sessions, with the time to be decided through discussion between the leader and group members.
4. Daily Bible Reading Plan Progress: reading, meditation, and prayer. After completing the day's quota, write the date in black ink within the plan box. If you forget or are unable to read on the scheduled day for any reason, you may complete it at another time. However, use red ink to write the date of completion in that day's box. The day's chapters should be completed on the same day. The church discourages speed reading to get ahead.
5. Complete Bible Reading at Each StagePlanAfterwards, please read the scriptures.PlanHand it over to the group leader. After the group leader signs it, give it to the church together. The church will tally it and encourage it according to the reward method.
6. New members are welcome to join at the beginning of each stage. New members should first sign the "Scripture Reading Covenant," and their progress will be determined jointly by the new participant and the group leader, starting from the first stage or a new stage.

For those who already have a good habit of reading the Bible and wish to continue their existing reading plan, and can finish reading the Bible at least once within two years.
1. Sign the "Scripture Reading Covenant" and join your fellowship's scripture reading group. The fellowship supervisor will serve as the group leader. For those not yet affiliated with a fellowship, the Adult Education Deacon will be the group leader. Within your group, find a scripture reading and prayer partner of the same gender to pray for, encourage, and spur each other on. Each group should share regularly, with the meeting time to be decided through discussion between the leader and members.
2. The church provides blank Bible reading schedules. You can follow your own one- or two-year reading plan daily.Plan, Scripture reading, meditation, and prayer. After completing your daily scripture reading, fill in the completed book and verse(s) and date with a black pen on the daily progress chart. If you forget or are unable to read scriptures on a given day for other reasons, you may catch up later. However, fill in the book and verse(s) for the makeup reading and the date you read them with a red pen. Complete the readings for the day on that day. The church does not encourage fast reading to get ahead.

Reward Method:

1. Upon completion of each reading stage, if four consecutive stages are completed with no more than five repetitions per stage, the church will award a souvenir as encouragement.
2. Upon completion of the entire Bible through the two-year, eight-phase Scripture reading plan, regardless of how many times it is reread, the church will issue a certificate of encouragement.
3. The list of participants who complete the reading plan and receive awards at each stage will be posted on the bulletin board for encouragement. Each group will publish a statistical list based on the number of participants and the number of participants who completed the reading.
