| 12/23/2018 | “The Shame And The Glory” This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to dismiss her quietly. But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit." And And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!"![]() Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 12/16/2018 | “God's Perfect Timing” Galatians 4:1-10 I mean, as long as the heir is a minor, he is no different from a slave, even though he is the owner of everything. He is under guardians and managers until the date set by the father. That's how it was with us. When we were children, we were slaves to the basic principles of the world. But when the full time had come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law. He sent him to buy freedom for those who were under the law, that we might be adopted as sons. Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you an heir. Formerly, when you did not know God, you were slaves to those who by nature are no gods. But now that you know God—or rather are known by God—how is it that you are turning back to those weak and worthless basic principles? Do you want to be enslaved by them all over again? You are paying special attention to days and months and seasons and years. I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you. ![]() Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 11/11/2018 | “The Humble Guest” 1 Luke 14:7-11 7 When Jesus noticed how the guests chose the places of honor, he told them this parable: 8 "When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not take the place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you has been invited by him, 9 and he who invited you both will come and say to you, 'Give this man your place,' and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, 'Friend, move up higher.' Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at the table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." ![]() Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 10/28/2018 | “Faithfulness Under Fire” 13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they marveled, and they recognized that they had been with Jesus. 14 And seeing the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say in opposition. 15 But when they had commanded them to go outside the council, they conferred with one another, 16 saying, "What shall we do with these men? For indeed, a notable miracle has been done through them, which is evident to all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it. 17 But that it may spread no further among the people, let us warn them sternly not to speak to any man any longer in this name." 18 So they called them and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus. 19 But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, you must judge, 20 for we cannot but speak of what we have seen and heard." 21 And when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people, for all were glorifying God for what had happened. 22 For the man on whom this miracle of healing was performed was more than forty years old. ![]() Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 10/21/2018 | “Virtue and the Apocalypse” This is the second letter of Peter, chapter 3, verses 1 through 13. Now I, elders of the church, am writing this second letter to you, beloved. I am stirring up your pure minds by way of reminder, so that you may remember the predictions that were previously made by the holy prophets, and also the commandment of the Lord and Savior, which was given through your apostles. First of all, you must know this: scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation." For they willingly forget that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being deluged with water. But the heavens and the earth that now exist have been stored up for fire by the same word, being reserved for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about his promise, as some understand slowness, but is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a rush, and the elements will melt with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are on it will be burned up. Since all these things are to be dissolved, what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat! But according to his promise we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 9/30/2018 | “The Little Power Parables” He put another parable before them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his field. It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is larger than all garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and make nests in its branches.” He told them another parable. “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it all was leavened.” Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 9/23/2018 | “Faith That Triumphs” Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God. Not only so, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 9/9/2018 | “Christ Our Advocate” My little children, this is what I am writing to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the sins of the whole world. And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says "I know him" but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him, but whoever keeps his word, in him truly the love of God is perfected. By this we know that we are in him: whoever says he abides in him ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 7/8/2018 | “The Testimony of a New Identity” So get rid of all kinds of evil, deceitful hypocrisy, envy, and evil slander. Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow in your salvation. For you have tasted that the Lord is good. Come to him, to the living stone of God’s choosing, rejected by men but precious to God. You too, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices that are acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it is contained in Scripture: “See, I lay in Zion a stone, a chosen and precious cornerstone, and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.” Now to you who believe, this stone is precious. But to those who do not believe, “‘The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone,’ and “‘A stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.’” They stumble because they disobey the message—which is also what they were destined for. But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy. Dear friends, I urge you, as temporary residents and foreigners, to keep away from sinful desires, which wage war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 7/1/2018 | “A Heavenly Hope” We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of your love for all God’s people—the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard by means of the true and trustworthy word of the gospel that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and changing lives, just as it has done among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace. You learned this from Epaphras, our fellow servant, who is a faithful minister of Christ on your behalf and who also told us of your love in the Spirit. For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom that the Spirit gives. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all his glorious power so that you may have all perseverance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has prepared the way for us to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light. | 6/10/2018 | “The Heart of God's Family” Galatians 4:1-7 1 Now I say that as long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a slave, though he is the owner of everything. 2 Instead, he is under guardians and managers until the date set by the father. 3 So also, when we were children, we were in slavery under the elemental spirits of the world. 4 But when the fullness of time came, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. 6 And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, "Abba, Father." 7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you an heir. | 6/3/2018 | “The Heart of Gospel Witness” 1 Thessalonians 2:1-8 For you yourselves know, brothers and sisters, that our visit to you was not in vain. But though we had already suffered and been shamefully mistreated at Philippi, as you know, we had boldness in our God to declare to you the gospel of God, with much struggle. For our appeal does not spring from error or impurity or any attempt to deceive, but just as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel, so we speak, not to please man, but to please God who tests our hearts. For we never came with flattering speech, as you well know, nor with a pretext for greed—God is our witness. Nor did we seek glory from people, whether from you or from others, though we could have made ourselves a burden as apostles of Christ. But we were gentle among you, like a nursing mother taking care of her own children, so, warmly we desired to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become very dear to us. | 5/20/2018 | “Family Matters” If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing. Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 5/13/2018 | “A Blessed Mother - Jochebed” By faith Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's decree. By faith Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, choosing rather to suffer ill-treatment with the people of God than to enjoy the fleeting pleasure of sin. He considered the abuse of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger, for he persevered as though seeing him who is invisible. By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn might not touch them. By faith they passed through the Red Sea as if it were dry land, but the Egyptians, when they attempted to do so, were drowned. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 4/8/2018 | “The Gospel of Jesus Christ of Nazareth” Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless I have believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. And last of all, as to someone untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me. Whether then it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you, because our gospel came to you not simply with words but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and deep conviction. You know well the kind of men we were when we were with you for your sake. You became imitators of us and of the Lord, even though you faced much persecution, taking the Word to heart. And you became an example to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia. For the Lord's message rang out from you not only in Macedonia and Achaia but in every place your faith in God has gone forth, so that we have had to say nothing. For they themselves report concerning us what a reception you gave us. | 2/4/2018 | “I Can See” Now that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem. They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. As they talked and discussed these things with each other, Jesus himself came up and walked along with them; but they were kept from recognizing him. He asked them, "What are you discussing together as you walk along?" They stopped, their faces downcast. One of them, named Cleopas, replied, "Are you the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in these days?" "What things?" he asked. "About Jesus of Nazareth," they replied. "He was a prophet, powerful in word and deed before God and all the people. The chief priests and our rulers handed him over to be sentenced to death and had him crucified. We had hoped that he would be the one to redeem Israel. Besides all this, it is the third day since all this took place. In addition, some women from our group astonished us. They were at the tomb early this morning and didn't find his body. They came back saying they had seen a vision of angels, who said he was alive. Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had said, but they did not see Jesus." He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all the prophets have spoken! Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. As they approached the village to which they were going, Jesus continued on as if he were going further. But they urged him strongly, "Stay with us, for it is nearly evening; the day is almost over." So he went in to stay with them. When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. They asked each other, "Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?" They got up and returned at once to Jerusalem. There they found the Eleven and those with them gathered together and saying, "It is true! The Lord has risen and has appeared to Simon." Then the two told what had happened on the way, and how Jesus was recognized by them when he broke the bread. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 1/28/2018 | “Time to Grow” But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like one day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives as you wait for and bring about the coming of the day of God. Because of that day the heavens will be destroyed by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. See to it that God’s patience with you is an opportunity for salvation. Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul, according to the wisdom that God gave him, wrote to you. He writes about these matters in all his letters, including some that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction. Therefore, dear friends, since you already know these things, be on your guard so that you do not lose your footing and fall prey to the error of the wicked and fall from your very foundations. But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory in the day of either now or forever! Amen. Sermon Audio (MP3) |

| 1/21/2018 | “Treasure His Word” 16 For we did not follow cleverly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 17 For when he received honor and glory from God the Father, and the voice was borne to him by the magnificent glory, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased,” 18 we ourselves heard this very voice borne from heaven, for we were with him on the holy mountain. 19 And we have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts, 20 knowing this first: that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy ever came by the impulse of man; but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. | 1/14/2018 | “Increasing in Faith” His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him, who called us to his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that by these you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in this world that is caused by evil desires. For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to selfcontrol, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, Sermon Audio (MP3) |
