Church History

1 Timothy‬3:15 ESV
15 … the household of God, which is the church of the living God, a pillar and buttress of the truth.

The Atlanta Chinese Christian Church began in the late ’60s as a Bible study group at Georgia Tech. In 1977, the group was registered as the Atlanta Christian Fellowship (ACF). By God’s grace and through the hard work of many Christians, the Church grew during the last thirty-some years.

In recent years, many more Chinese immigrated to Atlanta. In particular, the Johns Creek and Duluth areas became the new gathering points for the Chinese. In order to preach the Gospel to these new immigrants, ACCC established many fellowship cell groups artikkelens kilde. In 1989, the first cell group was formed, and it rapidly subdivided into nine cell groups named after the nine fruits of the Spirit: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control. In March 1998, the church formed a church Planting Committee, and soon the project began.

Atlanta Chinese Christian Church North (ACCCN) was established to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide services to the Chinese population in North Atlanta. At the same time, it helped to relieve the overcrowding of our parent church. In August of 1999, we began a series of meetings to share the vision and needs and to begin prayerful planning for the Church. On September 3, 2000, the new church ACCCN was born, using a rented school building. During the following year, we purchased a six acre lot with plans to build a new church building starting in late 2003.
