Family Center Building Fund FAQ

What is the purpose of this pledge for the Family Center Building Fund?
Since its planting in 2000, ACCCN has been blessed by God for 24 years, growing steadily through His grace. Over time, our church community has evolved from primarily families with young children to a multi-generational congregation. However, our current facility no longer meets the needs of all age groups, To better serve our church family and bring the gospel to the next generation, our vision is to build a multi-purpose facility that can accommodate activities for all age groups. The estimated cost for this project is $5,000,000. This fundraising pledge provides us with the opportunity to make this vision a reality, and to build a future that supports and nurtures the entire church community.

What is the goal of this pledge?
We thank God that the church has a reserve of $2,000,000 in our development fund to begin the project. The remaining cost will be covered by pledges from our brothers and sisters, along with a bank loan. Our goal is to minimize the mortgage as much as possible. We hope to raise $1,500,000 through this pledge over the years 2024 and 2025, allowing us to limit the loan to under $1,500,000.

Can I contribute a one-time donation in 2024 and 2025, as well as weekly/monthly offerings to the building fund?
Yes, you are welcome to make both a one-time donation in 2024 and 2025, as well as weekly/monthly contributions.

Is this pledge legally binding?
While this pledge is not a legal obligation, we ask that you pledge as accurately as possible. ACCCN depends on these pledges to project the funds available for construction and loan repayment.

Is my offering for the building fund tax deductible?
Yes, your offering through this pledge qualifies as a charitable donation and can be itemized as a deduction on your tax return. Please consult your tax advisor for specific guidance on how to treat this deduction.

Can my friends or relatives contribute in this pledge even though they do not attend the church?
Yes, anyone who shares our vision for the church building is welcome to pledge. However, final approval of the pledge will need to be made by the ACCCN JBED.

Should I ask my employer if they will match my pledge?
We encourage you to take advantage of any employer matching programs if they are available. If your employer requires documentation or proof of your pledge, ACCCN is happy to provide the necessary information.
