100 Gospel Tea Party
- Elective Courses/Course Selection Suggestions: Gospel Friends

In the midst of your busy life, you are welcome to take a short break at the Beitang "Gospel Tea Party" to watch a "Chinese Inspirational Course" that combines street interviews, personal stories, and world scenery. Discuss some meaningful and interesting questions and hear others' bold answers: Why are you happy? If you only had 24 hours left to live, what would you do? If there were a God, what question would you ask Him?
In these courses, we'll listen to basketball stars, scientists, and film enthusiasts share their insights and explore profound questions about life: Is this all there is to life? Why am I not satisfied? Who is Jesus?
In the free-flowing questions and relaxed conversations of the "Gospel Tea Party," we hope to become friends who explore life together, seek the meaning of life together, find lasting peace together, and experience unexpected joy together.

101 Baptism Class / The Path to Eternal Life – This is Salvation
-Required Courses/Course Selection Suggestions: For brothers and sisters who wish to be baptized at Beitang Church

This class will use "The Way to Eternal Life – This is Salvation" as its teaching material. This course will help believers discover the true meaning of the Christian faith from the Bible, understand God's plan of salvation and the assurance of personal eternal life, and know God's basic expectations of Christians. It will also help believers have a firm grasp on salvation, build a close relationship with God, and desire spiritual growth.
Those who plan to be baptized in the winter of 2025 must attend the spring baptism class.

102 The Way to Immortality – This is the Bible
-Required Course / Course Selection Suggestion: For brothers and sisters who have completed the baptism class or have never attended this class before.

The Bible, inspired by God, was written over 1600 years by more than forty authors, comprising 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. The Bible maintains a consistent theme and harmonious structure. It reveals God's nature, attributes, plan, and will, enabling people to understand that God's salvation for humanity was accomplished through the incarnation, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Those who believe in the teachings of the Bible and accept Jesus Christ will have peace and joy, and receive eternal life.
This lesson uses a projector to systematically introduce the authority, background, stories, and messages of the Bible, with a focus on the Old Testament Law, historical books, wisdom books, and prophetic books; and the New Testament Gospels, historical books, letters, and prophetic books. This helps believers gain an overview of the entire Bible, recognize that it is the word of God, cultivate the habit of reading the Bible and praying, and become Christians who grow spiritually.

203 Introduction to the New Testament (Part 1)
-Required Courses / Course Selection Suggestions: For brothers and sisters who have already taken the Path to Eternal Life course

The New Testament is the essence of the new covenant revealed by God through Jesus Christ and his disciples. It comprises twenty-seven books written by nine authors guided by the Holy Spirit. It is the latter part of the Bible, corresponding to the themes of the First Testament (Old Testament), namely Christ the Messiah and God's redemption. This course will provide an outline of the background, purpose, content, and doctrinal discussion of each book of the New Testament, aiming to help students gain a comprehensive understanding of the books in the New Testament for future in-depth study.

The History of Church 301 (Part 1)
-Required Course/Course Selection Suggestion: For brothers and sisters who have already taken the Introduction to the Old and New Testaments.

The Bible is God's revelation within history; God's church is established and grows within history. Our Savior came into the world within history; the same Savior will come again in future history. The doctrines we uphold are formed within history; the sacraments we follow are established within history; the many beautiful hymns are composed within history; the Gospel is spread to all nations and peoples within history. The Bible teaches us in many places to learn from and pay attention to history—to remember the ancient times (Deuteronomy 32:7), to seek the ancient ways (Jeremiah 6:16), to hold fast to the traditions we have received (2 Thessalonians 2:15), to remember and emulate those who once guided us and preached God's word to us, and to be mindful of their fate (Hebrews 13:7). No wonder John Fox, the famous 16th-century English Reformer and author of *The History of Martyrs*, said: "History is the witness of the times, the light of truth, the life of memory, the teacher of life… Without knowledge of history, our lives are blind, and we easily fall into the mire of various errors."
The Church History course lasts for two semesters. We hope that within the six-month course, we will not only have a broad overview of two thousand years of church history, but also a deeper analysis of important figures and events. May our generation of Christians not be ignorant observers or bystanders of church history, but rather, in God's hands, become the inheritors and writers of history.

504 The Gospel of John (Part 2)
-Elective Courses/Course Selection Suggestions: For brothers and sisters who have already taken the Introduction to the Old and New Testaments course.

Undoubtedly, Jesus Christ is the protagonist of the Gospel of John, in whom God's promises are remarkably fulfilled. In fact, John's Christology is clear, straightforward, and direct. The Christology of the Gospel of John burns like a flame in its narrative, captivating the reader: Jesus is the Christ, the prophet, the Son of Man, the Son of God, and rightfully called God. In Jesus Christ, God's promises are remarkably fulfilled. However, John repeatedly emphasizes to the reader that Jesus was sent by the Father and always obeys the Father's will. Therefore, in John's theology, the Father is not an insignificant figure. Jesus even promises that He and the Father will together send the Holy Spirit to teach and strengthen His disciples. The "Trinity" characteristic of this Gospel is thus clearly visible. However, the work of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit is not systematically defined in a theological manner. In the Gospel of John, God's work of salvation is part of the overall narrative of redemption. (Excerpt from Thomas R. Schreiner's New Testament Theology)
These two seasons of the Gospel of John will focus on three aspects: inner-biblical exegesis (also known as redemptive-historical hermeneutics), inaugurated eschatology, and how each small section is connected to a larger or entire theme of the book. But these things are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name. (John 20:31)

704 Children's Hearts, Parents' Love
-Elective Courses/Course Selection Suggestions: For brothers and sisters who have already taken the Introduction to the Old and New Testaments course.

This is a highly recommended book by Pastor Lin Cixin. Author Ted Tripp, drawing on over twenty years of experience as a pastor, counselor, school administrator, and father, offers invaluable help to parents. Unlike typical parenting books, this book is not child- or parent-centered, but God-centered, teaching us how to see our children's needs and nature through God's eyes; it doesn't teach us how to mold and control our children's behavior or build their confidence, but how to use words and actions to emphasize our inner selves, combining communication and discipline to loving our children wisely. It teaches us, according to God's will, what goals parents should have, how to adjust these goals according to our children's different developmental stages, and how to implement these goals in our words, actions, and thoughts, managing the inheritance God has given us; it teaches us how to use God's commands and methods to discipline our children, guide their growth, and make them people whom God loves. This is a profound yet practical book suitable for parents of children at different stages. Let us learn and discuss together, shepherding our children's hearts and walking together on a wise path to the Kingdom of Heaven.

821 Discussion of Common Doctrine Issues
-Elective Courses/Course Selection Suggestions: For brothers and sisters who have already taken the Introduction to the Old and New Testaments course.

For many years, brothers and sisters in the church have frequently raised questions about doctrine, church history, and church management during fellowship Bible studies and Sunday school. These questions have been raised repeatedly by different brothers and sisters in different settings. The questions vary in difficulty and have varying degrees of impact on our church life and faith, but they are all good questions and should be appropriately discussed and answered. Due to time and resource limitations in fellowship Bible studies and Sunday school courses, most questions have not been fully explored. Therefore, we are offering a special course on "Exploring Common Doctrine Questions." We hope that over the course of one semester, we can have a more thorough discussion and answer to the common questions that brothers and sisters are interested in and that have caused them confusion.
